Amanda Albright Still is a compulsive reader who enjoys just about every genre. She started writing to keep her imagination happy when she wasbetween books to read. The part she enjoys most of being a writer is speaking to groups and finding that people share her enthusiasm for her stories.

Charity is a part of life and she is grateful for opportunities, such as the one recently where she is part of as a group of authors donating to libraries ravaged by natural disasters. She also tries to bring history to life through speeches or work as a docent, help animal rescue groups, and do whatever she can to raise awareness of the benefits for adopting older children.

When not writing, her husband, college-age daughters, and she toil at restoring a Victorian house on Galveston where she believes those old walls have stories to tell. While some people are known by name to waiters at elegant restaurants, the Stills are known to the guys at the salvage yards.
